The Step360 Interval Training
I'm always interested in the latest exercise equipment so when something new comes along I get excited :)
The Step360 is a new spin on an old idea. Step as a method of losing weight and getting a great cardio workout has been around for the last 20 years so what's special about this one?
Firstly it's shaped like two donuts stacked one on top of the other one of the donuts being slightly smaller than the other and is circular in shape. It's major difference to a traditional step is it's ability to become unstable.
Fully inflated it's firm and rigid and behaves as a normal step would however if you slightly deflate the rings the platform becomes unstable (moves around slightly).
Because the step has become unstable your body needs to work harder (recruit more muscles) to enable you to stay upright and this in turn means you'll burn more calories (although not many). I think the biggest advantage of this instability is that it will work your core and stability muscles much better than a standard step.
The Step360 Benefits
As well as having an unstable working surface the Step360 enables you to combine aerobic and strength training into a single exercise system thanks to it's supplied exercise band. On top of that highly effective interval training is added to the workouts which in theory should make them more effective.
The Step360 comes with the following included
- The Step360
- 8 DVD's with a total of 2 hours worth of workouts
- The Step360 sculpting cord (an exercise cord)
- The seven day express guide
- 30 Days free membership to the Step360 Web club
At less than $120 this step looks like reasonable value for money.
The Step360 Claims
I hate claims that make it sound like you can get fantastic results with no effort and the Step360's sales material does make a couple that I'd have to question.
"Lose a jean size by the weekend" and "Burns 9 times more fat than aerobic exercise alone" smack of hype and imply losing weight will be easy.
The reality is losing fat requires disciplne and careful attention to what you eat. Buying this piece of equipment won't help you lose weight if you leave it under the bed! You're going to have to use it on a regular basis to see any results at all.
Having said all that I still like the Step360 and if it motivates you to exercise I'd have to say it's a good buy.

Whats the weight limit for the Step360?
Question: What's the weight limit for the Step360.
Answer: The maximum weight limit is 300lbs. However if you're at the upper end of this limit I would sugest you check with your doctor / health professional before using the Step360 and I'd start with the bottom ring deflated.

The Proform Ab Glider is another off the floor Ab machine that does look similar to the Ab Coaster but the manufacturers claim it’s as good as having both the Ab Coaster and the Ab Circle Pro.
